Prince William Police Officers responded to Irongate Way and Cub Run Court in Manassas (Prince William) to investigate a robbery, Aug. 26 at 8:16 p.m.
The investigation revealed the victim, a 32-year-old man, confronted an unknown man for taking his wallet leading to an altercation.
"During the encounter, the suspect stabbed the victim with an unknown object in the upper body before leaving the area," said Master Officer Renee Carr.
The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers and a police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male wearing a black sweatshirt and blue basketball-style shorts.
